MEDIATION
In some cases Focus on Education acts as a mediator between people and organizations in situations which require very specific relief.

Focus on Education acted as a mediator for the donation of a small bus for transport of schoolchildren. MIVA Breda donated the vehicle. More children now are able to go to school for their education.
Mr. Toon van Kaam visited a educational project for the women in rubber plantations in Wallalawita, Sri Lanka. For this project it is necessary that a vehicle can be used for the transport of materials. MIVA Breda will consider the request for a vehicle.

Willeke van Rijn visited India on behalf of Melania Foundation. She attended the ceremony of the first stone laying in the village Sahasra in Uttaranchal, northern India on October 22, 2004. If the construction of the school will proceed as planned the official opening can take place in November 2005. She also visited some self help groups of women. Perhaps Melania will contribute to a project of these groups.

Thanks to our mediation a 12 year old boy, Dharmendra Singh with a serious skull injury could be succesfully operated in a hospital in Dehra Dun, India in January 2004. The costs of these operations were paid by Liliane Foundation.
